Scandal-Free Guru Accused of Being a Fraud

Young followers question the spiritual leader’s credentials after investigators uncover an unusually clean record.

NEW DELHI — A prominent spiritual guru has stunned followers and religious scholars after an extensive investigation revealed that he has never been accused of sexual misconduct.

Swami Pureananda, 68, has led spiritual retreats for more than four decades without a single allegation involving a disciple, an assistant, or even a yoga instructor.

“We went through everything,” said one investigator. “Former students, private retreats, financial records. Nothing. Not even an inappropriate text message.”

The discovery has sent shockwaves through the spiritual community.

Several younger followers have reportedly cancelled their retreats, questioning whether Pureananda is a legitimate guru.

“Anyone can sit cross-legged and talk about inner peace,” said 24-year-old Rohan Mehta. “But where’s the controversy? Where’s the Netflix documentary?”

Another former student was equally disappointed.

“I paid $3,000 for a spiritual awakening. I could have gotten this from my grandfather for free.”

Religious scholars are now calling Pureananda’s record one of the most extraordinary cases of professional restraint ever documented in modern spirituality.

Reached for comment, the guru attributed his conduct to a lifelong commitment to meditation, compassion, and self-discipline.

His representatives later confirmed that he had been castrated at the age of seven.
